Soccer Lives Here: Celebrating the Beautiful Game on Rogers Road
Soccer is more than a sport on Rogers Road—it is part of our neighbourhood’s identity.
This summer, the Rogers Road BIA is proud to launch Soccer Lives Here, a community-wide celebration of the game that has connected generations, cultures, and families across our neighbourhood for decades.
Running from June 11 to July 19, Soccer Lives Here transforms Rogers Road into a hub of soccer-inspired experiences, local business activations, and community engagement. Visitors are invited to explore the neighbourhood, participate in activities, and collect stamps through a special Soccer Passport Program for a chance to win prizes.
The campaign recognizes the important role soccer plays in the lives of many Rogers Road residents. From informal matches in local parks to international tournaments watched with family and friends, the sport has long served as a common language that brings people together across cultures and generations.
Throughout the campaign, local businesses will join the celebration with special promotions, soccer-themed displays, and interactive experiences that encourage visitors to discover everything Rogers Road has to offer. The initiative also supports local businesses by driving foot traffic and showcasing the vibrant commercial district that stretches from Weston Road to Bronoco Avenue.
The official launch of Soccer Lives Here took place alongside the unveiling of Unity in Diversity, a new public mural by Peruvian artist Estefanía Cox. Together, the mural and campaign celebrate the values that define Rogers Road: inclusion, community pride, cultural diversity, and connection.
Whether you’re a lifelong soccer fan or simply looking for a fun way to explore the neighbourhood, Soccer Lives Here invites everyone to be part of the celebration.
Pick up your Soccer Passport, support local businesses, and experience why soccer truly lives here on Rogers Road.
