Jane’s Walk & Natas – Portuguese Custard Tarts: A Taste of Rogers Road

Join Jane’s Walk Toronto and the Rogers Road BIA on Sunday, October 18 for a delicious neighbourhood walk celebrating Rogers Road’s Portuguese roots through one of Portugal’s most beloved treats: the pastel de nata.

The Natas Walk invites participants to explore Rogers Road from bakery to bakery, tasting and comparing pastel de nata while learning more about the Portuguese history, culture and businesses that have helped shape the neighbourhood.

Along the way, we’ll visit local bakeries, sample their natas and hear the stories behind the businesses and the community. It’s a chance to discover Rogers Road through food while connecting with the people and places that make the neighbourhood unique.

A Walk With a Sweet Tradition

Pastel de nata is more than just a delicious pastry. It’s a familiar taste for generations of Portuguese Canadians and an important part of the food culture found throughout Rogers Road.
