⚽️🔥 JULY 4 WAS A WHOLE VIBE ON ROGERS ROAD 🔥⚽️
Throwing it back to July 4 — when Rogers Road came together for an unforgettable Community BBQ & Soccer Celebration… AND we celebrated Joaquim’s birthday! 🎂🥳❤️
433 Rogers Road was buzzing all day with BBQ, music, soccer, local businesses, kids’ activities, prizes, good food and even better company. 🌭🎶⚽️
We celebrated the beautiful game, brought the neighbourhood together, unveiled the “Unity in Diversity” mural, and got everyone exploring Rogers Road through the Soccer Celebration Passport. 🌍🎨
But most importantly, we celebrated community — and Joaquim! 🥳
From the first BBQ to the final cheers, July 4 was packed with the kind of moments that make Rogers Road special. ❤️
Happy Birthday, Joaquim! 🎂 And cheers to everyone who made July 4 one to remember!

🚋✨ Did You Know? Rogers Road Once Had Its Own Streetcar! ✨🚋
Long before buses became part of the daily commute, the Rogers Road streetcar helped shape the neighbourhood we know and love today. ❤️
The line first began operating in 1924, connecting Rogers Road to the rest of Toronto and making it easier for families, workers, and shoppers to travel across the city. As the community grew, so did the streetcar, becoming a familiar sight for nearly 50 years. 🏘️🚋
On July 19, 1974, the Rogers Road streetcar made its final trip, bringing an unforgettable chapter of Toronto transit history to a close. While the tracks are gone, the memories—and the impact the line had on building this vibrant community—live on through stories, photographs, and the people who remember riding it. 💛📸
Today, Rogers Road continues to evolve, but its rich history remains an important part of what makes this neighbourhood so special. 🌟
Do you remember the Rogers Road streetcar? 🚋 Or have a family story or photo to share? We’d love to hear it in the comments! 👇💬
